Clarke volleyball won three games in a row against Des Moines North Aug. 26 to start the season with a win; 25-13, 25-22, 25-13.
“The team took a little bit to get going but eventually loosened up and started palying relaxed,” said head coach Kimberly Adams. “We didn’t play to our full potential of what I know we can play but we secured the win and will keep working har in practice to keep improving.”
Clarke went 1-2 in a tournament Saturday. Clarke lost to EAst Union and Martensdale-St. Marys 2-1. Clarke defeated Saydel 2-0.
Adams is having the team work on competing as a unit and what roles make up that unit.
“Our goal is to go all out every day, every practice and evvery game,” said Adams.
Clarke plays Sep. 2 at Central Decatur.
