Clarke Middle School wrestlers are fundraising this year through t-shirt sales to raise money for breast cancer awareness. The funds will be donated to the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
Cris McAfee, Middle School secretary, Christie Stortenbecker, Middle School Band director and Nicki Andrew, Elementary food service have spent the year battling breast cancer so the Middle School wrestlers are honoring them with this fundraiser.
The 16 Clarke Middle School wrestlers are working to raise money all month and will be wearing the t-shirts at the first home meet Dec. 6.

Previous charities donated to have been KCCure (Kidney Cancer Research Alliance), St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, John Stoddard Cancer Center in Des Moines, Parkinson’s Foundation, and the family of a wrestler whose mother was battling breast cancer at the time.
