CLARKE -- The Clarke boys basketball team secured their second win of the season at home on Jan. 6 against Woodward-Granger. The Indians were able to establish a 28-15 lead in the first two quarters that propelled them to a win, despite the Hawks’ scoring in the fourth.
Brock Nall led with 18 points, three of which were three-pointers. Peyton Lynn put up 12 of his own, with two, two-pointers. The Indians had a 46.9% shooting average on twos, and a 54.5% on threes. The team had 44 total rebounds - 12 offensive and 32 defensive - with Brock Watson having nine of the rebounds, Nall with seven, Lynn and Nash Bishop with six, Denilson Deleon Elias with five, four to Eli Fry, three to Logan Gracey and one each to Deegan Neese and DeVante Caldwell.

ALBIA -- Following their win on Monday, the Indians lost to Albia by 48 points on Tuesday. The Blue Demons pulled ahead by 25 points going into halftime, leaving the Indians to play catch-up in the second half. CENTERVILLE -- A closer game on Friday left the Indians going into the weekend with their second loss of the week. The Big Reds enjoyed an early 22-10 lead, before adding another 20 to head into halftime 42-24. The final two quarters saw the Big Reds put up 21 and 2, and the Indians 9 and 8.
Watson had the team high score of 19 points. Lynn added eight, Bishop and Gracey four, Nall three, Ryan Diehl two and Caldwell one. Watson had nine of the team’s 29 rebounds.
