Clarke girls fall in two games

OSCEOLA -- Clarke hosted Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont Jan. 28 for their second meeting of the season. The Lady Rockets held the Lady Indians to only three points in the first quarter to their 28, and widened the gap to 51-18 at halftime. Clarke put up 24 points and EBF had 26.

Maisy McCoy scored 12 points in the contest, all on 3-point shots. Reese Shaw had 11 points with three, 3-point shots. Reagan Fry and Miah Graves had six points each, Emilee Boyd four and Kya Thornton three; Graves also had two three-point shots. Overall, the Lady Indians had a 32.7% field goal percentage, 27.3% on threes and 33.3% at the free throw line.

OSCEOLA -- At home on Friday, the Lady Indians fell to the Davis County Lady Mustangs 59-42. While the Indians seemed to find their stride in the second half, it wasn’t enough to overcome the visiting team. The loss moves their season to 2-14.
